Two people have been arrested and drugs seized after officers chased a man seen acting suspiciously on an e-scooter in Tamworth. We were on proactive patrol in the Stoneydelph area yesterday evening (Monday 16 March) when officers saw a man on an e-scooter making multiple stops. Following a short foot chase, a 31-year-old man, from Tamworth, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. A later search of a property saw suspected heroin, cocaine, cannabis and drug paraphernalia seized. A 24-year-old woman, from Tamworth, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. They each remain in police custody while our inquiries continue.
