We have listed a number of tips to help prevent your home from vandalism. 

Vandalism is where property is maliciously destroyed or damaged, often without theft being involved. 

Help protect your property with these tips:

🏠 Avoid high front hedges/walls - keep them under 1 metre so neighbours can see your property

🏠 Install lights around the property

🏠 Add security film to windows to strengthen the glass

🏠 Use anti‑graffiti coatings on white walls

🏠 Mark your property line with low fences, hedges or flower beds - avoid rockeries or large stones that can be used as weapons

🏠 Make ledges and low walls “uninviting” to sit on - use planters with prickly plants

🏠 Keep it tidy - a neat home discourages trespassers

🏠 Don’t leave rubbish, ladders, bins, or tools out - they can be used to break in
