Recent youth related Anti-social behaviour increase in Codsall |
Over the past week, local officers have seen an increase in reports of youth-related anti-social behaviour in the Codsall area. Several calls were received regarding incidents at Codsall Leisure Centre, where a group of young people were reportedly disruptive both inside the centre and on the 3G pitches. Their behaviour prevented teams who had legitimately hired the pitches from being able to use them. In addition, multiple reports were made by residents of Chillington Drive on Saturday concerning a group of youths causing disruption during a planned birthday celebration on the street. The same group were further reported to have entered a residential property and taken a broom from a garage before being challenged and chased away by the homeowner. This incident constitutes a residential burglary, meaning those involved could face serious consequences and potentially obtain a criminal record as a result of an irresponsible decision.
As the warmer weather approaches, we kindly ask all parents and guardians to speak with their children about positive behaviour when out with friends, particularly in larger groups. The last thing any family wants is an unnecessary visit from the police due to avoidable actions.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep the community safe.
