Over the past few weeks, Uttoxeter Police have been receiving numerous reports about youths playing “Knock and Run ” particularly in the Denstone area of Uttoxeter. Whilst it may seem trivial, and youthful pranks, it is becoming an issue in Denstone. If a resident is elderly or vulnerable, it can cause distress and anxiety. To other residents it can become very annoying. Patrols have taken place, and names have been forwarded to Police. These youths will be visited and advised accordingly, appropriate to their ages. I believe these “knock and Runners” are being influenced by TikTok, knock and run, being the latest “must do”. If this continues and youths repeatedly play knock and run, after they have been spoken to, a more sterner stance will be adopted by local Police. We have all been mischievous in our younger days, I understand that, but when an issue becomes more consistent, making residents feel uneasy and anxious, its not fair, a question of respect, especially if the residents are vulnerable and elderly.
