TEEN ARRESTED FOLLOWING STABBING

A teenager has been arrested after a boy was stabbed in Tamworth.

Just before 8.30pm yesterday (Monday 30 March), were called to a report of a stabbing inside McDonald’s on Elmhurst Drive.

A teenage boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his lower back. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

A 15-year-old boy, from the Birmingham area, has been arrested on suspicion of affray.

He remains in custody as our enquiries continue.
