STAY SAFE WHEN BUYING FROM UNKNOWN SELLERS

We are reminding members of the public to remain vigilant when approached by unknown individuals offering items for sale, particularly in public places or at your home.

Criminals may use pressure tactics, offer deals that appear “too good to be true,” or claim urgency to encourage quick decisions. Items sold in this way may be stolen, faulty, or never delivered after payment.

Please protect yourself by:

❌ Avoiding purchases when approached unexpectedly

⏰ Never feeling rushed or pressured to buy

💷 Not handing over cash or money without proper checks

🧾 Asking for proof of ownership, receipts, or legitimate contact details

✅ Using trusted retailers or well-known online marketplaces instead

If you feel uncomfortable, walk away. A genuine seller will not pressure you.

If you believe you have been targeted or have concerns about suspicious selling activity, please report it to local police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
