Advice for residents:

• Avoid sharing personal or financial information
• Be cautious about cash payments or requests for upfront fees
• Legitimate traders should be able to provide identification, references, and written quotes
• Take time to consider offers and seek recommendations from trusted sources

If you are unsure, it is okay to say no and close the door. Trusted traders rarely need to cold call.

If you believe someone is acting suspiciously or attempting to scam residents, please report to Staffordshire Police via 101 or online for non-emergencies and 999 in an emergency.
