OPERATION SCEPTRE AT TRAIN STATION

On Friday 15th May, officers from our Neighbourhood Team linked in with officers from @BTPMidlands at Tamworth train station.

Both uniformed and plain clothed officers took part in the operation wherein persons were randomly selected for stop searches.

The operation was part of a national initiative called #OperationSceptre and forms part of the #DitchTheBlade campaign.

Unfortunately, due to an accident on the rail line this prevented any further trains coming in to Tamworth and our operation was cut short. During our time there, one male was found in possession of a screwdriver found in a place you wouldn't naturally keep a screwdriver. Another person was found in possession of cannabis and dealt with accordingly.
