Trentham and Hanford - Completing the 200th Police Street Surgery, Potholes reported, We Knocked To Check You Locked and Police Street Surgeries |

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you all are having a good week.
Last night (02/06/26) I completed my 200th Police Street Surgery, which was held at Michigan Grove.
My work with Staffordshire Smart Alerts began in late December 2024, where there was approximately 325 persons receiving these emails in the Trentham and Hanford area. At the time of writing, there are now 1439, which I am over the moon with. Having had a bit of a ‘light bulb’ moment, I thought that there was an opportunity to utilise Staffordshire Smart Alerts in a different, unique way, in order to try and provide the best possible service for residents, to help make the area safer and keep you all more reassured. I wanted to improve communication, highlight patrols and ensure that there are increased opportunities for residents to meet with local officers should they want to. Through the Street Surgeries, messages on here and the communication I have from residents on patrol, this has been instrumental in helping me to understand what issues residents want the Neighbourhood Policing Team to address and where you would like our patrols to focus. From the feedback, I really feel it’s working, and we are making great progress. I hope my enthusiasm for this job and my passion for the area is coming through on these emails. It’s an amazing area and I feel very proud to be its local officer. My first patrols of Trentham and Hanford were over 18 years ago and if experience has taught me anything, its that to make positive changes, working with and listening carefully to the community is a fundamental part of Neighbourhood Policing. It’s important now that we continue to move forward and build on the progress made. My plan is to continue to add as many people as I can to this system as possible, casting the net of communication as far as possible across the area. Create new Neighbourhood Watch zones and continue with initiatives such as ‘We Knocked To Check You Locked’. Trentham and Hanford is an amazing place to live, work and visit – we should be very proud of this. And yes, there may be challenges along the way, but we will address them ‘together’ as a community. Some issues will be quick to fix, others more challenging, but with persistence, determination, hard work and little bit of luck every now and then, we’ll achieve our goals. Myself and the Neighbourhood Policing Team are determined to make it harder and more challenging for anyone wanting to carry out acts of criminality here. We will do everything we can to prevent these issues and work tirelessly to address them when we do. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for helping to make this system a success. The positive feedback and the kind words have been a huge confidence boost. If you could please continue to spread the word about these e-mails to friends, family, neighbours and on social media.
Lets keep going!!!
‘We Knocked To Check You Locked’
Yesterday (02/06/26) I randomly picked Buckland Grove and Beatrice Close and delivered letters and spoke with residents, helping to promote the importance of locking doors and vehicles.
