On Saturday 30th May at around 19:15 we were called to Caledonian, Glascote following reports of a female causing a disturbance. When officers attended they were pointed in the direction of the offending female who was driving a black Renault in the car park at Caledonian. Officers approached the vehicle and opened the door to speak with the female who was suspected to be under the influence and unfit to drive. The female became aggressive and assaulted one of the attending officers. The 51-year-old female, from Stonydelph, was arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink and assaulting an emergency worker. She was also dealt with for driving whilst disqualified and without insurance. The Renault was subsequently seized.
She has since been released on bail and is due in court next month.
