Three arrested in quick response to attempted bike theft |

Three teenage boys were arrested in Burntwood after we quickly responded to a report of an attempted motorbike theft. Officers were called into action when three people were reportedly trying to steal a motorbike on Edwards Road. It happened in the early hours of Sunday 24 May. Local officers quickly arrived at the scene and began looking for the suspects. Two men were detained and searched in the area, where officers found a balaclava and gloves. A further man was tracked down later on. A 17-year-old boy from Kidderminster, a 15-year-old boy from Rugeley and another 15-year-old boy from Lichfield were all arrested on suspicion of attempted vehicle theft. They were all questioned in custody and bailed with conditions while enquiries continue. We don’t underestimate the impact that theft, robbery and burglary can have on local people and businesses. That’s why we’re working hard to respond to reports as quickly as possible and to work proactively to target those responsible in the area. | ||
