Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you all are having a good week - even with the rain!
It has been a very busy but productive week for me and I have a number of updates to give.
If anyone would like to speak me today (11/06/26) I will be visible around Priory CE Academy from 15:00 - 15:30 this afternoon and I will be at Delamere Gr for a street surgery this evening 18:45-19:00.
Firstly, some fantastic news! The Hanford Village Residents Association are pleased to announce a new 24/7 accessible defibrillator. It is located outside Coles Injury and Rehab Clinic, opposite the Co-op car park.
I was really pleased to hear this news, and I know how incredibly hard the Hanford Village Residents Association have worked in securing the defibrillator. Defibrillators are an amazing, life saving piece of equipment. If you would like to know how to use one, you can find some excellent learning on giving CPR and using a defibrillator, over on the British Heart Foundations website, where you can complete this 15 minute free training…just click this link Learn CPR in 15 minutes for free | RevivR - BHF
In the not too distant future, I will send a list of defibrillator locations from around our area, so please look out for this soon!
Staffordshire Smart Alert Appeals – update: Break in to garages – Burrington Dr.
Following enquiries into this matter, I am looking for a Nissan Juke, similar in model and colour to the one seen in this photo, that was seen on Burrington Dr on 04/06/26 at approximately 14:04 hours.
The vehicle was seen in the vicinity of these two arrows on this picture.
I am aware that multiple vehicles did pass this vehicle at the time. If you were you travelling along Burrington Dr on 04/06/26 at 14:04 approximately and have a dash camera, please could you review it please and send me a message on here should there be footage that may assist my enquiries – thank you.
Wildlife incident – Waterside Estate.
We have received a report that on 08/06/26 at approximately 18:30 hours, an animal was harmed in the vicinity of the bridge on Pembrey Dr, on the Waterside estate. I have attended the location on 09/06/26 and could not see any signs of any harmed animals. I have limited lines of enquiry into this matter, but if you have any CCTV, ring doorbell footage or any other information that may help my enquiries, if you could please reply to this message and I will be in touch - thank you.
Underage drinking concerns – Burrington Dr.
This week I have been contacted by residents concerned about juveniles underage drinking in and around Burrington Dr and in the woods located nearby. I am aware that my colleagues responded to a report of underage drinking on 06/06/26 and you may recall that in May, a child had to go to hospital as a precaution following drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. I want Trentham and Hanford to be a safe space for children to socialise and have fun – but its important for them to be aware that underage drinking is something that can be very dangerous. Tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, I plan to incorporate Burrington Dr and the surrounding area into my noon shift patrols.
As always, should you have any concerns re underage drinking, please report via 101 (in non-emergency circumstances) and 999 (In emergencies).
School parking
Firstly, I want to send a very big thank you to everyone, who everyday, make a big effort in ensuring they park and drive safely and sensibly around our schools. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and I very much appreciate it. Whilst I acknowledge that the ‘school run’ can be a very stressful time, we cannot compromise safety for convenience. If anyone is having any problems finding suitable places to park and you need help, send me a message and I will do everything I can to assist. Over the last couple of weeks a number of residents have raised concerns regarding dangerous parking and driving around all three of our schools in Trentham and Hanford. On Monday I was present for school parking at Trentham Academy, yesterday (10/06/26) Ash Green Academy and today (11/06/26) I will be attending Priory CE Academy. I have been engaging with drivers and completing home visits to address as promptly as possible, the concerns raised. This is a very challenging issue and to make our streets as safe as possible for children and their families, this needs to be accomplished with the schools, council, police and the community all working together. Please do make reports to the Council if you are concerned about breaches to parking restrictions. This can be done by visiting www.stoke.gov.uk. Please make reports to the Police via 101/999 and online at www.staffordshire.police.uk to report dangerous parking/driving. ***Even if the vehicle may have moved before Police can attend, I will look out for these reports and at the very least complete a home visit to the driver****.
In response to the number of concerns raised, I have raised this matter to our Road Crime Team and I will update you all on any updates I get and progress made.
Thank you all for your understanding.
We Knocked To Check You Locked
Yesterday (10/06/26) Highfield Rise was randomly picked for crime prevention visits.
Events
I have been invited to be the guest speaker at this Coffee Morning on 20/06/26, taking place at the Community Library, Allerton Rd. I have been asked to talk about Neighbourhood Watch and Home Security. There will also be plenty of time to ask questions, where I am really looking forward to talking to you all about any issues you would like to raise and discuss.
Important information on reporting incidents/Crimes
Please can I kindly ask that Crimes and Incidents are not reported through e-mails, voicemails or text messages but through one of the below Police contact options. I am concerned that should I be committed with another incident, off duty, on leave or on unexpected leave, your message may not be read, and this can significantly delay a Police response. There have been times where reports (some of which should of been made by calling 999) have been e-mailed to me, and on occasion with no contact information other than the e-mail address of the person reporting. Please be assured that I will see everything that is reported, but by reporting through the below channels, our response officers and other Neighbourhood officers are both made aware of your report too. Reports are logged, recorded and you will be giving an incident number. How to report Crimes and Incidents.
Reporting Crimes and incidents can be done by…
*Calling 101 in non-emergencies *Calling 999 in emergencies *Non- emergency incidents can also be reporting by visiting www.staffordshire.police.uk and clicking ‘Report It’ on the home page, as seen in this picture
This ensures that incidents are recorded, logged, responded to promptly and dealt with by the appropriate officer or department.
