Keeping your dog under control

We are reminding dog owners to keep their dogs under control at all times and to use a lead where required, particularly in public spaces, near roads, livestock, wildlife, and when requested by signage.

Allowing a dog to roam freely or behave aggressively can place people, animals, and the dog itself at risk. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behaviour and may face enforcement action if their dog is found to be dangerously out of control.
