APPEAL FOLLOWING AMINGTON INCIDENT |

#APPEAL | We are appealing for witnesses following an incident that occurred in Amington on 22nd June. On Monday 22nd June at around 19:50 on a footpath near to Abelia, Amington, a 75-year-old male on a mobility scooter was victim to an attempted theft. The offender, a young male, had tried to take a bag belonging to the older male who initially fought him off. The younger male did not manage to take the bag or any other belongings but removed the keys of the mobility scooter and threw them in nearby bushes before riding off on an e-bike towards Aldi on Glascote Road. It is believed two young females witnessed this incident. We would very much like to speak with these females to see if they can help us identify the offender. The offender is described as a white male aged approx 14-16 year old, 5'6" in height, average build, dark hair, bare topped and wearing black joggers. If anyone else was in the vicinity at the time who may have witnessed something or can provide any information that may help us identify the offender then please contact Staffs Police on 101 quoting incident 913 of 22/06/2026.
