Officers tackle immigration crime |
||
|
Specialist officers have visited businesses across Stoke-on-Trent as part of a national operation targeting organised immigration crime and helping to safeguard vulnerable people. Between 15 and 20 June, officers visited 22 shops across Staffordshire and spoke with 46 people, leading to referrals to partner agencies including Trading Standards and Immigration Enforcement. Detective Inspector Carla Thompson said: "You will be listened to and any information provided could prove vital in helping us identify those involved in this type of criminality and to safeguard potential victims." 🚨 Could you spot the signs? If you have concerns about possible exploitation or immigration crime, report it via 101 or Live Chat on our website. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
