🚔 Theft of a motorcycle and attempted theft of motor vehicle.

We are appealing for information following two vehicle-related incidents which occurred in Eccleshall on Sunday 5th July 2026.

🏍️ Motorcycle Theft – Kings Vale, Eccleshall

A Red Honda CB125F motorcycle has been stolen from an address on Kings Vale, Eccleshall, between 2:00am and 3:00am on Sunday 5th July 2026.

🚗 Attempted Vehicle Theft – The Burgage, Eccleshall

At approximately 2:30am on Sunday 5th July 2026, offenders attempted to steal a vehicle parked inside a garage on The Burgage, Eccleshall.

Although unsuccessful in starting the vehicle, damage was caused during the attempt. Two individuals travelling on a motorcycle were also seen checking other vehicles in the area around the time of the offence.

🏍️ Motorcycle Security

Motorcycles are attractive targets for thieves. Owners are encouraged to:

Use a disc lock and heavy-duty chain secured to a ground anchor where possible.

Park in a secure garage or well-lit location.

Fit a motorcycle alarm, immobiliser or tracker.

Cover your motorcycle when parked to make it less visible and less appealing to thieves.

Consider security marking and registering property on recognised databases.

🏠 Home and Building Security

To help protect your property:

Ensure all doors, windows and garages are locked and secure, even when at home.

Install and maintain security lighting and CCTV where possible.

Keep keys away from doors, windows and letterboxes.

Consider fitting anti-snap locks, alarm systems and additional door security.

Report any suspicious behaviour, vehicles or individuals acting unusually in your neighbourhood.
