SUSPECTED DRINK DRIVER ARRESTED

On 04/07/2026 at around 23:00 we were called to Quarry Hill, Wilnecote following a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision wherein one driver had made off, suspected to have been drink driving.

Upon officers attending they were pointed in the direction of a nearby driveway where they found the driver from the Hyundai Tucson hiding in a bush.

The 21-year-old male driver, from Belgrave, was arrested for driving a motor vehicle when under the influence of alcohol.

He has since been released under investigation.
