π Speed Enforcement Activity β Brocton Road, Milford π Today, PC Guler and PCSO Stewart carried out proactive speed enforcement on Brocton Road, Milford, between 15:15 and 16:15 in the 30 MPH speed limit area. During the hour-long operation: π 17 vehicles were recorded exceeding the speed limit π Highest speed recorded: 44 MPH β οΈ Location: 30 MPH zone Speed limits are in place to protect everyone using our roads. While saving a few minutes may seem worthwhile, the consequences of speeding can be serious and long-lasting. β οΈ If you are caught speeding, you could face: πΈ A Speed Awareness Course (where eligible) π· A fixed penalty fine π Penalty points added to your driving licence π Increased motor insurance premiums β In more serious cases, a court appearance and potential driving disqualification π¨ Why does it matter? Higher speeds reduce the time you have to react to hazards and greatly increase the severity of collisions. A few extra miles per hour can make the difference between stopping safely and causing a life-changing incident. π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Speeding doesn't just put the driver at risk β it endangers: β Pedestrians β Cyclists β Motorcyclists β Other road users β Families and local communities π Staffordshire Police continue to carry out speed enforcement across the county to improve road safety and address concerns raised by residents. π Please help us keep our roads safe by slowing down, observing speed limits, and driving responsibly. Speed limits are not targets β they are limits. β Please remember: β’ Observe posted speed limits β’ Drive to the road and weather conditions β’ Help make our roads safer for everyone Thank you to the majority of motorists who were driving within the legal limit. π #SaferRoads π #RoadSafety π£οΈ #Milford π #CommunitySafety π€ #SpeedEnforcement π
