Community Safety Message – Cannock Area

Good evening, I hope you are well.

Please be aware of a reported incident that occurred in a wooded area near Springs Lade Campsite, Camp Road, Cannock, on Tuesday 21st July 2026 at approximately 08:30hrs, where a lone female walker was approached by a male who indecently exposed himself.
The male is described as:

White British
Approximately in his 40s
Around 5ft 8ins tall
Athletic build
Thick jet-black hair
Birmingham accent

The incident has been reported to Staffordshire Police and appropriate safeguarding measures have been put in place for the victim, including the provision of support, advice, and ongoing contact.

We would like to reassure the local community that officers will be conducting increased patrols and paying passing attention to the area over the coming days and weeks. Whilst there is no information at this time to suggest an ongoing risk to the wider public, we understand this incident may cause concern, and we are committed to providing a visible policing presence and progressing enquiries where opportunities arise.
