PSPO NOW IN PLACE AT BORROWPIT LAKE

PLEASE NOTE: Following cabinet approval, Tamworth Borough Council have now put in to place a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) at Borrowpit Lake.

The order prohibits swimming and entering the water to help protect people from the serious dangers of open water, including cold water shock, hidden hazards and sudden changes in depth.

The PSPO also helps tackle anti-social behaviour in the area and forms part of the Tamworth Community Safety Partnership's wider commitment to keeping residents and visitors safe.

Please respect the new restrictions and help us protect everyone using Borrowpit Lake.
