APPEAL FOLLOWING COLLISION

We are appealing for information following a serious collision in Tamworth.

We were called at 1.35pm on Thursday (30 July) to Pennine Way, at the junction of Eringden, following reports of a collision involving a silver Nissan Juke and a white Ford van.

Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance.

The driver of the Nissan, a man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford van, a man, suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

We are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area with any information or footage which could help collision investigators.
