Arson and Fire Setting Incidents - Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley |

We are aware of several recent arson and fire-setting incidents across the Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley areas and would like to reassure residents that these incidents are being actively investigated.
As part of our ongoing enquiries, two arrests made on Sunday 9th August 2026 in connection with these incidents by Cannock Police neighbourhood shift 3. One juvenile male has been arrested and bailed, and another juvenile male has been arrested and is currently in custody at this time. Enquiries into these matters are continuing.
We are asking residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour, particularly where individuals may be attempting to start fires or are acting suspiciously around open land, parks, woodland, derelict buildings, or other vulnerable locations. If you witness a fire or become aware of any suspicious fire-related activity, please report it immediately. Where there is an immediate risk to life or property, always call 999.
