Anti-social behaviour in Stafford Town Centre

We are receiving continuous reports of large groups of teenagers and younger children congregating in Greengate Street, Stafford and by the entrance to McDonald's.

Reports include threatening behaviour, criminal damage and intimidating families when they're trying to enter the restaurant.

We will not accept this level of behaviour, this is totally unacceptable.

CCTV have reported seeing large groups of 30-50 youths loitering in the street.

Stafford Borough Council has a PSPO (Public Space's Protection Order) in place which prohibits groups of no more than 5 to loiter in that location.

Can we please request parents to ask where their children are going during the day/night, whilst we appreciate it's the summer holiday's there is no reason for large groups to loiter in one area which then encourages others to join the group.

If this level of behaviour continues, we will identify those involved and they will be spoken to in front of parents.
