Trentham and Hanford - suspicious incidents Trentley Rd, Bankhouse Rd, Stolen vehicle recovered, Neighbourhood Watch updates, and Police Street Surgeries

Good afternoon everyone, 

I hope you all are having a good week and are enjoying the sunshine. 

It’s been a very busy week so far and I have lots to update you all on.

Firstly, a very warm welcome to everyone who has recently joined Staffordshire Smart Alerts. 

There are now 1507 persons registered to receive these updates in the Trentham and Hanford area- which is fantastic! Thank you to you all for helping to make these e-mails a success and for the many positive comments I have received. I am very happy that many of you have told me that you are finding the e-mails useful.

So far this week Police Street Surgeries have been completed at Earlsbrook Dr, Field End Close and Torridon Cl. 

I have placed towards the bottom of this e-mail the times, dates and locations of upcoming street surgeries for the rest of the week.

Important information on reporting incidents/Crimes/welfare reports etc.

Please can I kindly ask that crimes, incidents or concerns for welfare reports are not reported through e-mails, voicemails or text messages but through one of the below Police contact options. 

I am very concerned that should I be committed with another incident, off duty, on leave or on unexpected leave, your message will not be read, and this can significantly delay a Police response.

If I am on holiday for example, it could be weeks before your e-mail/ text etc is read 

Please be assured that I will see everything that is reported, but by reporting through the below channels, our response officers and other Neighbourhood officers are both made aware of your report too.

*Calling 999 in emergencies

Suspicious incident – Trentley Rd

We have received a report that on 10/08/26 at approximately 04:09am, a male was seen walking down the driveway of a property on Trentley Rd. The male was disturbed by a ring doorbell and immediately left the location. No access to the property was made and nothing has been reported as stolen or damaged. 

The incident occurred between the two blue arrows on this map.

Suspicious incident – Bankhouse Rd 

We have received a report that on 10/08/26 at approximately 04:59 am, a male (who had use of a pedal cycle) was seen entering the driveway of a property on Bankhouse Rd. 

The incident occurred between the two blue arrows on this map. 

Nothing was reported as damaged or missing and no access to the property was made.

Stolen vehicle recovered – Janson St

Last week myself and a colleague attended Janson St, following the report of an abandoned vehicle that had damage to it. The vehicle had been stolen, therefore it was recovered, where it will have a forensic examination before being returned to the owner.

This week I’ve have attended a large number of properties across the area, to speak with residents to help to improve property and vehicle security, in order to help deter opportunistic theft across the area.

I attended a number of properties in Ivy Gr, Bankhouse Rd and Stone Rd/A34. 

Alongside these visits, I have attended a number of properties across the area, where there was no reply to knocking and the windows to the properties had been left open. 

This morning I noted a report from the Meir Park area, where a number of vehicles had been stolen, with entry gained to the properties via insecure windows.

Neighbourhood Watch  - New Zone applied for

This week I have applied for a new Neighbourhood Watch Zone, which will cover the following streets…

Burrington Dr, Talsarn Gr, Consall Gr, Bowmead Cl, Cardigan Gr, Mallowdale Cl, Brindiwell Gr, Glendue Gr and Sunbury Cl. 

Once approved, I will make the welcome packs, which will be delivered to all addresses within the zone. Following this, Neighbourhood Watch signs will be placed on lampposts.
