Trentham and Hanford - Stolen number plate Aegean Cl, Chivelstone Gr police report update, targeted patrols, crime prevention visits and Police Street Surgeries

I hope your all are having a good weekend. 

After a short period of annual leave, today was my first day back, which has been a really busy but productive day. 

Appeals – stolen number plate – Aegean Cl. 

We have received a report regarding a number plate being stolen from a vehicle. The incident occurred in Aegean Cl, sometime between 21:30 on 21/08/26 and 06:45am on 22/08/26. 

If anyone has any CCTV, Ring doorbell footage or any other information that may help our enquiries, please reply to this message and I will be in touch – thank you. 

Police report update - Chivelstone Gr 

A resident stopped me today as they were concerned regarding an incident reported on 21/08/26, in the vicinity of Chivelstone Gr,  which involved a male seen with no shoes and acting unusually. 

I have checked the report log and officers did attend the location and spoke to the male. His details were obtained and he was taken to A&E due to concerns raised regarding his welfare.

During my patrols today (22/08/26) I did speak to a resident who raised concerns regarding person(s) seen acting suspiciously recently in the morning on the path between Bainbridge Rd and StoneRd/A34. 

I did attend this location today and I came across no issues and I will try to re-visit this location as much as possible. 

We Knocked To Check You Locked

Today, I randomly visited properties on Jonathan Rd and Laxton Rd to complete crime prevention visits. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to me. 

Police Street Surgeries

Today I completed Police Street Surgeries at Longton Rd, Atherstone Rd and Newburn Gr. 

The dates, times and locations of upcoming Police Street Surgeries that are happening over the next few days are as follows…

TOMORROW (23/08/26) NEW INN LANE (18:45 – 19:00)

24/08/26 BUCKINGHAM CR (18:45 – 19:00) 

25/08/26 BRIARBANK CL (18:45 - 19:00)

26/08/26 CHIVELSTONE GR (18:45 - 19:00) 

And lastly, during a targeted patrol of Brough Ln today, (due to concerns raised regarding parking issues), I came across this fantastic, knitted Post Box Topper, which is based on ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ book, first published in 1969.
