MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING INCIDENT IN CANNOCK

We have arrested a man after responding to a report of an assault inside McDonalds in Cannock. 

Shortly after 5.35pm yesterday (Monday 24 August), we were called to Linkway Retail Park following a report of a man behaving aggressively.

When the man was asked to leave, he reportedly threw a glass bottle at staff and customers who were inside at the time.

No one was reported injured. 

Officers attended the scene and detained a man outside.

A 39-year-old man, of the Cannock area, has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating. He remains in custody this morning (Tuesday 25 August).
