DID YOU KNOW? 🔎 THEFT |
||
|
We often think of theft as simply someone taking something that doesn't belong to them — but there are some surprising things you might not realise can make you more vulnerable.
🔎 Did you know?
A thief doesn't necessarily need to break into your home or car to steal from you. Items left unattended in gardens, communal areas, vehicles or outside properties can all present opportunities — and sometimes it's the small, everyday items that are easiest to steal and hardest to recover.
📱 Phones, bicycles, tools, parcels, garden equipment and even items left in unlocked vehicles can all become targets.
💡 Our tip: Take a moment to look at your property from the perspective of someone passing by. Is anything valuable or easily removable on display?
Sometimes, making a theft more difficult is as simple as moving something out of sight or securing it properly.
One small change can remove an opportunity.
Look out for Part 3 of our Did You Know? series, where we'll be looking at burglary. 👀 | ||
