POLICE DOG CATCHES MOTORBIKE THIEF

#ARREST | During the early hours of this morning we received a report of suspects on 2 motorbikes, attempting to steal a motorbike in the Tamworth area.

PD Dan was chauffeured by his handler to the area to commence a vehicle search. 

A short time later one of the involved bikes appears in the distance and PD Dan's chauffeur decides to follow.  

The rider of the bike thought he was clever by making off, but unfortunately his lack of riding skills ran out when he decided to go off road.  

The rider fell off his bike, and not wanting to speak to Police he then ran off.

Following a quick exit out the drivers door PD Dan stopped the rider from getting very far. 

1 detained.
