Staffordshire Police is appealing for information following two incidents involving a grey/silver Volkswagen Golf during the early hours of this morning.

Incident 1 – Lane Green Road. At approximately 12:10am, a grey/silver Volkswagen Golf was seen pulling onto the driveway of a property on Lane Green Road. A male exited the vehicle and appeared to be checking parked vehicles before returning to the Golf, which then left the area at speed.

Incident 2 – Marshall Way. At approximately 1:40am, it is believed that two offenders attempted to gain entry to a property on Marshall Way by damaging the lock on a rear patio door. The suspects were disturbed and subsequently ran back to a grey/silver Volkswagen Golf before making off from the area.

Based on the circumstances of both incidents, it is believed the offenders may have been targeting vehicles and, in the second incident, may have been attempting to gain access to vehicle keys stored within the property. As the offenders were unsuccessful in their attempts, there remains the possibility that they could return to the area.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and ensure that homes and vehicles are secured at all times. Any suspicious activity should be reported to Staffordshire Police immediately.
