Did you know that failing to clean up after your dog in a public place is an offence across the UK? Dog fouling is more than just unpleasant. It is an environmental crime and can pose a serious health risk to children and other members of the public. Anyone in charge of a dog is responsible for removing and disposing of their dog's waste immediately. Those who fail to do so may receive a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) from their local authority, with fines commonly set at £100 in England and Wales and up to £1,000 following prosecution through the courts. 🐕 Please remember: ✅ Always carry poo bags when walking your dog ✅ Bag it and bin it responsibly ✅ Help keep our streets, parks and green spaces clean for everyone Dog fouling affects the whole community and can contribute to the spread of diseases such as toxocariasis. Let's all do our bit to keep our neighbourhoods clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone. #BinIt #ResponsibleDogOwnership #CommunityPride #KeepStaffordshireClean 🐾 |
