Follow these tips to stay safe on Snapchat

Snapchat is often used to keep in touch with friends and as a way to send them videos, images and messages. People that you may not know might also try and contact you so think about the following:

Who is on your friends list?

Who are you letting into your life?

Do you know who is watching you?

Follow these tips to stay safe on Snapchat

Ensure your location settings are locked down.

Keep your personal information private.

Don't accept friend requests from strangers and question why people who you don't know are contacting you.

Do not meet up with people you do not know who have contacted you online.

Do not be pressured into something that makes you feel uncomfortable.

If anything happens that has made you uncomfortable or if there is something you're not sure about, you don't need to hide it or pretend it hasn't happened. Speak to an adult you trust.

Stay safe online!
