📱 Are you and your family staying safe on Snapchat? Snapchat is a popular social media app, but users should be aware of the risks of online scams, unwanted contact, bullying and location sharing. Staffordshire residents are encouraged to follow these simple safety tips: 🔹 Know who you add: Only accept friend requests from people you know and trust. 🔹 Check Snap Map: Review your location settings and consider using Ghost Mode to prevent others from seeing your location. 🔹 Think before you share: Photos and messages can be saved or captured by others, even if they are designed to disappear. 🔹 Protect your details: Never share passwords, security codes, your home address or other personal information with strangers. 🔹 Report and block: If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, block and report their account. 👨👩👧 Parents and carers: Talk openly with children and young people about their online activity and encourage them to report anything that worries them. If you believe a child is being groomed or exploited, report your concerns to police. Call 999 if someone is in immediate danger. Think before you share. Stay alert. Stay safe online. | ||
