Vehicle seizure -Stone |

|
As a result of proactive patrols in #STONE by Roads Policing officers, on Thursday 8th October 2026, a vehicle was seized for having no valid insurance, and the driver was reported for summons.
In addition, further action was taken against the driver after the vehicle was found to have two unroadworthy tyres.
Remember, if you are using a vehicle on a public road, it must be driven in accordance with UK law. This includes ensuring it is: ✅ Taxed
Tyres must meet the legal requirements, including a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre and around its entire circumference.
Vehicle defects can significantly increase the risk of collisions, particularly during periods of adverse weather. Conducting regular checks can help keep you and other road users safe.
