Woman who died in Newcastle named

Detectives have named a woman who sadly died in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Donna Ann Reece, 38, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, died at a house on Clayton Lane yesterday (Monday 12 October).  

In a statement, her family said: “We are heartbroken to learn of the loss of Donna. We cannot come to terms with this.

“We would like to ask for privacy at this time whilst the investigation is ongoing.”

Specialist officers have been supporting Donna’s family during this difficult time.

A 47-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, who was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday remains in custody.
