Staffordshire Smart Alert: Halloween – Keep It Fun, Keep It Safe 🎃

As Halloween approaches, Staffordshire Police would like to encourage everyone to enjoy the festivities safely and respectfully.

Whether you're trick-or-treating, attending a party, or spending time with friends and family, please remember:

🎃 Respect properties displaying signs such as "No Trick or Treaters".

🎃 Stay with friends and plan your journey home in advance.

🎃 Parents and guardians should know where children are and ensure younger children are supervised.

🎃 Be mindful of anti-social behaviour. Throwing eggs, fireworks, flour, or causing damage to property is not harmless fun and may result in police action.

🎃 If attending a party, look after your belongings and never leave drinks unattended.

🎃 Take extra care when crossing roads, especially when wearing costumes that may restrict vision.

🎃 Drivers should remain alert for increased numbers of pedestrians, particularly children, during the evening hours.

We want everyone across Staffordshire to have a safe and enjoyable Halloween. By being considerate of others and making sensible choices, we can all help keep our communities safe.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or criminal activity, please report it via our website or by calling 101. In an emergency, always dial 999.

Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy Halloween!
