Residential Burglary Prevention: Keep Your Home Safe |

|
Staffordshire Police are reminding residents to remain vigilant following reports of burglars targeting homes by attacking rear uPVC doors and exploiting weaknesses in door locking mechanisms. Many offenders prefer to target the rear of properties where they are less likely to be seen. In some cases, criminals attempt to force or "snap" vulnerable euro-cylinder locks fitted to uPVC doors, allowing them to gain entry quickly and quietly. How to Protect Your Home🏠 Upgrade vulnerable locks 🔒 Always lock doors and windows 💡 Use lighting and deterrents 🌳 Keep rear gardens secure 📦 Avoid advertising valuables 🤝 Look out for your neighbours 🚨 Report suspicious behaviour RememberBurglars often look for the easiest target. Taking a few simple security measures can make your home significantly harder to break into and may encourage offenders to move on. If you witness a burglary in progress or believe a crime is taking place, call 999 immediately. For non-emergency information or to report suspicious activity, contact 101 or report online via the Staffordshire Police website. Together we can help keep our communities safe.
