Police Presence in Rugeley

Police Presence in Rugeley

You may have noticed an increased police presence in Rugeley today following reports of a burglary in progress.

Officers responded swiftly and, working closely with our colleagues at Cannock Chase District Council to monitor and review local CCTV footage, carried out a number of enquiries in the area.

As a result of these enquiries, officers quickly located and arrested a suspect in connection with the incident. A vehicle believed to be linked to the offence was also seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

We understand that a visible police presence can cause concern within the community, but please be reassured that officers were taking positive action to identify those responsible and help keep our communities safe.

Thank you to everyone who reported information and assisted with our enquiries.
