E Scooters know the law |
||
|
Thinking of buying your child an E scooter this Christmas? make sure you know the law first.
Many parents may not realise that Privately owned e-scooters cannot legally be ridden in public in the uk, including on roads, pavements, cycle lanes and in parks. they can only be ridden on private land with the landowners permission.
What are the consequences? Riding a privately owned e-scooter in the public could result in a fine, penalty points and the scooter being seized by the police. Parents may also face legal consequences in certain circumstances.
Before buying one, please check the rules. What may seem like an exciting Christmas present could leave your child breaking the law without realising it.
Lets keep our children and community safe by making sure we all understand the rules before getting on an e-scooter | ||
