📋 Neighbourhood Watch Community Safety Survey Results |

Good morning, hope you're well.
A huge thank you to the residents who took part in our recent Community Safety Survey.
✅ Most respondents said they feel safe in Penkridge during both the day and at night.
⚠️ However, many residents reported feeling more vulnerable or intimidated after dark, particularly in areas affected by poor lighting, isolated walking routes, overgrown vegetation and anti-social behaviour. Locations highlighted included the Railway Station and underpass, The Swamp, canal routes, Goods Station Lane, Brookside footpaths and other locations across the village. Residents suggested: 💡 Improved lighting
We're already acting on some of this feedback. Following reports of youths congregating and causing anti-social behaviour, PCSO Millichap has worked with Penkridge Parish Council to secure the installation of a CCTV camera at Bellbrook Park, helping to deter ASB and provide additional reassurance to park users.
It's also great news that feedback regarding Neighbourhood Watch was overwhelmingly positive, with many residents highlighting the benefits of the scheme and the work carried out by your local coordinator Louise Barton and PCSO Millichap.
As your local PCSO, it is extremely encouraging to see that residents value Neighbourhood Watch and the positive contribution it makes towards keeping our community informed, connected and safe.
I am currently arranging meetings with partner agencies to discuss the issues and suggestions raised through this survey. Once those conversations have taken place, I will provide a further update on any actions we can take together to improve community safety and reassurance across Penkridge.
Thank you for helping us make Penkridge a safer place to live, work and visit. PCSO Phillip Millichap | ||
