🚲 Stolen Bicycle Recovered Thanks to Quick Teamwork 🚲

Today, a young lad had his bike stolen from outside Anytime Fitness on Brewery Street, Rugeley.

Officers were quickly made aware, and the team on foot, S/Sgt Lee "The Sheriff" and PC Rockley, began gathering information from the victim. At the same time, PCSO Liz Hall and PC Thomas carried out wider patrols and searches of the local area.

After CCTV provided a description of the suspect, this information was circulated to officers. Shortly afterwards, PCSO Hall spotted a male matching the description at Rugeley Train Station. On seeing her, the suspect made off, abandoning the stolen bike in the process.

The fantastic news is that the bike was recovered and reunited with its rightful owner. Whilst the suspect managed to evade officers at the time, enquiries remain ongoing and he will have his day.

A great example of effective teamwork, quick information sharing, and a positive outcome for a young member of our community. 👏🚔
