Delivered... But Not Always Safe 📦

Delivered... But Not Always Safe 📦

With Christmas approaching and online shopping increasing, we're reminding residents to think about where their parcels are being delivered.

A package left on a doorstep can quickly become an easy target for opportunist thieves.

To help keep your deliveries safe:

✅ Use a secure delivery location where possible.
✅ Consider using a trusted neighbour or family member to accept parcels.
✅ Make use of parcel lockers or designated collection points.
✅ Check delivery instructions are up to date when placing orders.
✅ Track deliveries so you're aware when items are due to arrive.

👀 Please also spare a thought for elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may not be at home when deliveries arrive. A quick check-in can help ensure parcels are not left unattended for long periods.

Most thefts are crimes of opportunity. Taking a few simple precautions can help ensure your Christmas deliveries end up in the right hands.
