Community Safety Advice - Be Safe, Be Seen

With the darker nights now upon us, we would like to remind everyone to take extra care when out and about in our local communities.

🚲 If you're cycling:

Ensure your bicycle is fitted with working front and rear lights.

Wear bright or reflective clothing to help make yourself visible to other road users.

Check your lights regularly and make sure batteries are charged before setting off.

🚶 For parents and guardians: As the evenings become darker, please encourage younger children to wear bright or reflective clothing when walking, scooting, or riding their bikes. Reflective accessories, high-visibility jackets, and lights on bicycles can make a significant difference in helping them to be seen by motorists and other road users.

Be safe.
