🎄 Christmas Home Safety Smart Alert 🎄

🎄 Christmas Home Safety Smart Alert 🎄

As we approach the festive season, Staffordshire Police would like to remind residents to take a few simple steps to keep their homes safe during the Christmas period.

🏠 Home Security Tips

Always lock doors and windows, even when you are at home.

Keep gifts, presents and valuable items out of sight from windows.

Use timer switches on lights to make your home appear occupied when out.

Ensure sheds, garages and outbuildings are locked and secure.

Avoid posting holiday plans or travel arrangements on social media.

🔑 Protect Your Keys

Keep house and vehicle keys out of sight and away from doors, letterboxes and windows.

Consider storing keys in a secure location to prevent theft.

📦 Deliveries and Parcels

Track deliveries where possible.

Arrange for parcels to be delivered to a trusted neighbour if you are not at home.

Do not leave packages visible on doorsteps for extended periods.

🎁 Going Away for Christmas?

Ask a trusted friend, family member or neighbour to keep an eye on your property.

Use timed lights and cancel any unnecessary deliveries.

Ensure all windows and doors are locked before leaving.

If you see any suspicious activity in your area, please report it via 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Wishing all residents a safe and enjoyable Christmas.
