Information sent on behalf of Staffordshire Police

A man has been jailed for drug offences after he was stopped-and-searched on a bus in Tamworth earlier this year.

Norbert Bryzykcy, aged 18, of Carlcroft, Stonydelph, was jailed for three years and three months at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Thursday 12th May after admitting possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

The court heard how officers stopped Bryzykcy on a bus, travelling on the B5000 Glascote Road, on 17th January, following intelligence linking him to drug supply.

A total of 78 separate wraps of class A drugs were found on Bryzykcy – 33 of cocaine, worth £330 and 45 of crack cocaine, worth £900 - along with two mobile phones.

A subsequent search of his address revealed drug paraphernalia, a knuckle-duster and £55 cash.

Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury, the officer in charge of the case, said: “Officers spotted Bryzykcy and moved quickly and efficiently to carry out the search, which led to a substantial find.

“This is just another example of how our dedicated teams operate to disrupt the supply of drugs in our communities to get these substances off our streets.”
