Alert message sent 09/02/2022 10:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Staffordshire Police

Good Morning All,

On 08/02/22 at 14:24 it was reported to Staffordshire Police that a burglary had taken place. Offenders had gained entry via a double-glazed window.

To ensure properties are kept safe and secure it is advisable to use:-

-Timer lights.
-Asking neighbours to keep a look out if you are going away on holiday or a family member to take care of the property and check it where this is possible.
-Ring door bells which provide evidence.
-Use of cameras.
-Ensure a sticker on doors requests that all post/leaflets are put properly through the door as this can show when residents are not present at their property.
-Ensuring that the front and back of the property has security lights and that all sheds and garages are locked.
-If you are expecting a delivery request that it is sent back to the company or left with a neighbour if you are going to be out.
-Leaving a light or TV on, where possible, if you are not present at house.

If anybody knows any information in relation to the above incident then please contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 374 of 08/02/22. Alternatively you can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Thank you
